Scope of the published statement
Bunting’s published document was prepared in response to customer inquiries regarding Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act and conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries.
The document limits its scope to tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, commonly referred to as 3TG minerals. It states that Bunting contacted direct raw-material suppliers whose materials contain tin and, to the best of the company’s knowledge at the time of publication, its supply chain did not contain minerals or materials originating from the DRC or adjoining countries. It also states that gold, tantalum and tungsten were not present in materials used to manufacture Bunting products.
The statement further describes Bunting’s commitment to supporting customers, ethical practices, applicable laws and a DRC conflict-free metals supply chain.
